Today was more of a sad day. This was my last Spanish class which normally in college I would be excited about but I actually love my classes here. I wish that I could take the classes longer because on top of learning a great deal and being very successful, they were actually really fun. I will miss my amazing teachers.
After class to continue our somber day, we went to the museum of memory. This museum was unbelievably sad but also very interesting. I wish that I had gone by myself because I like to take my time and therefore, I only got through a third of the museum before everyone else was ready to go. I really like history and enjoyed learning about the strength of the people in the midst of such horrors and fear. It is also unbelievable to think that most of the people on the streets and the parents of the children in the schools have lived through that. I think that it’s great that people have been able to move past it and still enjoy their lives.
The last thing that we did that day was get ice cream at an amazing ice cream place. I wish that we had gone there earlier in the trip because that had an extremely large amount of variety. They were also playing the Ecuador futbol game on TV so I was happy that i was able to watch it and see what happened. I was extremely happy that they ended up winning at the end but we had to leave slightly beforehand because no one else has an attachment to the country.
