So now I have been home for about 10 days. I really look back on everything I did while in Chile. Looking back I am very proud of everything I have accomplished and all the fears I conquered. I am so thankful that I did get on that plane and go on my greatest adventure ( so far at least). There was a point right before we left I almost backed out of the program because of my anxiety and the fear of not going. When I got on that second plane in Atlanta to Chile was probably one of my greatest leaps of faith. Now I am so thankful I did. We had so many amazing trips, experience and met so many wonderful people who will hold a spot in my heart. Now that I am back to running around work and getting back into the daily grind, I really have noticed how useful this trip was not just as an education major but as a human of planet Earth. For those who do not know what I do, I am a parts sales manager at Autozone. I had a customer come in who only spoke Spanish. I got to use the Spanish I learned to help the customer. I was pretty proud of that. I am still really missing empandas and the amazing people in Chile but for now I am happy to be home.
